Pietro Damini (active 1592-1631), St. Alvise Consecrated as Bishop of Toulouse

Son of the King of Naples and heir to any number of titles, the young Louis of Anjou chose against his family's opposition to enter the Franciscan order, as noted here by his tonsure. In 1296, at the age of 23, he was consecrated Bishop of Toulouse in Rome at St. Peter's Basilica.
